I'm still writing, still trying to get *something* published, but at the same time I'm trying to keep myself busy as I try to get a job here in New York City (one that's not retail).  As you can see, there's a lot of trying going on in my life.  It's fine when things are going well, but seems to be twice as frustrating when things start to go bad.  Despite that, I'm pushing on and keeping myself busy. So far I've received two rejections for my story.  I sent it to a total of five magazines this round.  The other three I'm not really expecting responses from in the near future, so this round has mostly been a wash. The rejections hurt, oh yeah.  There's no glossing over that.  They sting something fierce.  Still, this is what I want.  I'm focusing on other stories right now, trying my hand at a different genre.  Eventually I'll have to come back to the first story.  Maybe I'll try to tweak it a bit before sending it off again to other places.  I don't know. Hello, all!  *echo, echo, echo* *ahem*  I'm sorry for all the dust.  Sorrier still for the neglect I've had for this place.  I hope to be back in a more active capacity. Life has changed much since my last post.  I got married and moved to New York.  Now that the wife and I are living together, I've been able to put more energy into my writing.  I completed my first ever NaNoWriMo (2010)!  I might post that up along with the short story I finished.  I need some feedback for stories, something I've missed most dearly since my fanfiction days.
